Pricing Guide
How a cleaning price is actually built
Not a price list — the three numbers behind every price: how long the job takes, what your hour is worth, and what your cleaner takes. Change the rate below and every figure on this page moves with it, the same way it does in the calculator.
Your hourly rate
Anything between $30 and $150 works in the calculator. These are just the common ones.
Three steps, every time
Time comes first
Size and how often you clean set the minutes, then condition, shedding pets, clutter and team size move them again. That part is different for every home — no flat list can answer it.
Then your rate prices it
Minutes become hours, hours become money at your hourly rate, and the minimum for the size sits under that as a floor. The higher of the two is what the client is charged.
Then the split decides who gets what
Your cleaner takes their percent of the job and you keep the rest. Pick a percent and a job total below to see who gets what.
What your hour is worth
The rate is the one number you control. Everything else on this page is derived from it.
| Rate | Per minute | 2-hour job | 4-hour job |
|---|---|---|---|
| $40/hr | $0.67 | $80 | $160 |
| $50/hr | $0.83 | $100 | $200 |
| $65/hr | $1.08 | $130 | $260 |
| $80/hr | $1.33 | $160 | $320 |
| $100/hr | $1.67 | $200 | $400 |
The cleaner pay split
In the referral model your cleaner is an independent professional paid a set percent of the job. Pick a percent and a job total and see who gets what.
Client pays
$200.00
Any total — your own is what the calculator works out
Cleaner earns
$96.00
48% of the job
You keep
$104.00
52% — your time, insurance and supplies come out of this
The percent is the lever: raise it and the cleaner's share grows, but your keep is whatever is left, so it has to cover your own hours.
Why there is no base-price table
A base clean is not one number you can look up. Size and how often you clean are only the start — the rest is yours:
- Condition adds time on top: a level 5 home adds 20% to the minutes.
- One shedding pet adds 15%, and clutter at organization level C adds 30%.
- Your hourly rate prices those minutes, and the minimum for the size acts as a floor underneath.
- Team size, add-ons and taxes then change what the client is actually charged.
A published table of averages would be wrong for your home — and it would let you skip the one tool that runs your actual numbers. So the base price stays inside the calculator.
Add-on services: time and price
Every add-on is timed, then priced at your rate — so these move when you change the rate above. Prices are per person (one cleaner) and do not change with team size.

What this page does not cover
- Base clean prices are not listed by size and frequency here. They depend on condition, pets, clutter, team size and your hourly rate — that is the calculator's job.
- Built for the referral model, where cleaners are independent professionals paid a set percent. A W-2 employee business is priced differently.
- Same-day / rush, weekend and special-supply fees are flat amounts each owner sets themselves, so they are not listed here.
- Post-construction cleaning is quoted by hand — usually 1.5-2x a deep clean.
- Add-on prices are per person (one cleaner). They do not change with team size.
Put your own numbers through it
The calculator runs the same math with your size, condition, pets, team size and add-ons, and gives you a quote you can send.
