How It Works
Price Every Job with Confidence
The Remote Cleaning Profit Calculator walks you through 8 real-world variables so you never underprice (or overprice) a job again.
Home Size
Drag the slider or tap a preset to match the client's square footage. This sets the baseline labor time for the job. Bigger homes take longer — no surprises.
Cleaning Frequency
Pick how often the client wants service. Weekly and Bi-Weekly are your bread and butter — they smooth out revenue and reduce gaps in the schedule. One-Time and Move-Out cleanings are priced higher because they take more time.
Home Condition
Rate the home on a 1–10 scale. Pristine homes (1–3) clean fast. Normal homes (4–5) are average. Heavy (6–8) and severe (9–10) add deep-clean time and should be priced accordingly. The calculator automatically applies a time multiplier.
Pets in the Home
Select the pet situation. Shedding dogs and multiple pets add hair, dander, and time. Non-shedding pets have minimal impact. This is a real-world variable many cleaners forget to price in.
Organization Level
Choose A (tidy), B (some clutter), or C (heavy clutter). Clutter slows the cleaner down. Level B adds 12.5% to labor time; Level C adds 30%. Charge for it.
Target Hourly Rate
Set the rate you want to bill per hour. This is your 'walk-away' number — the rate that makes the job worth your time. Typical remote cleaning rates range from $45–$85/hr depending on your market.
Team Size
How many cleaners will be on the job? Solo cleans take longer but have no split. Teams of 2 or 3 finish faster and the calculator divides the time accordingly. Your profit stays the same — just the on-site hours change.
IC Commission Payout
Set the percentage you pay your independent contractor. The rest is your owner profit. A common split is 48% to the cleaner, 52% to you — but adjust this to fit your model.
Quick Tips
- Always use the 'Copy Quote' button after adjusting your inputs. It formats a clean, professional quote you can paste into a text, email, or CRM.
- Save quotes to compare pricing for different clients or property sizes. Tap the 'Saved' tab to view, reload, or delete past quotes.
- Check the 'Profit' tab to see your exact owner profit, contractor payout, and effective hourly rate before you send the quote.
- Bi-Weekly frequency is the sweet spot for most remote cleaning businesses — consistent income without weekly churn.
- If a home is Level 8+ condition or Level C clutter, consider scheduling a deep clean first, then moving to a standard recurring rate.
